This app brings the qfracture.org hip, wrist and spine fracture risk assessment tool to the iPhone.

You can use QFracture to estimate your risk of developing hip fracture or osteoporotic fracture (hip, wrist or spine) over the next 1-10 years.

The algorithms have been specifically developed by Prof Julia Hippisley-Cox and Dr Carol Copeland in the UK to identify people at high risk of these fractures so they can be assessed in more detail to reduce their risk. The original research was done using the QResearch anonymised medical research database and published in the British Medical Journal in 2009 (BMJ 2009;339:b4229).

An independent external validation of QFracture has also been published in the BMJ:
Collins, GS. Mallet, S. Altman DG. Predicting risk of osteoporotic and hip fracture in the United Kingdom: prospective independent and external validation of QFractureScores, BMJ 2011; 342:d3651.

No BMD entry
I leaped before I looked. It has a very nice laid out data entry section as you see above, kudos for including ethnic group though I dont know how much that matters. All kinds of risk factors listed but I could not find any place to put the bone density!!!! Im pretty sure my pt. with a hip DEXA Tscore of -3.4 is higher risk than another pt. with a T score of -2.0. For me this is useless without BMD, so I quickly found FRAX and its definitely worth the price. Frax uses very finely tuned dials like in your i-calender to enter numeric data, especially those with big fingers, all down to the tenth of a unit accuracy, like kg, cm, DEXA, etc. You can choose english or metric, too. Also choose the type of measurement, T score, GE Lunar, Hologic, etc. Also optional shake to reset, PIN entry, and "send scores as email". The only thing I could add would be that cool 10 yr fx risk graph with option to print for patient!! I hope you read this Clinrisk, Ltd.
Quintero useless clinically
I paid before checking it. Tried to search for FRAX tool and stumbled on this app. Quite useless clinically as not meant to input any Dexa score. Deleting it.
